SEIKO 6306-7001 SCUBA PRO 450 (a. K. A. TURTLE) VINTAGE DIVER WATCH (100% GENUINE)

TURTLE RARE VINTAGE DIVER WATCH. CIRCA 1979s, GOOD CONDITION (100% GENUINE). SEIKO 6306 has been recognized as the third generation diver by collectors after the first two predecessors, 6217 and 6105.

SEIKO 6306, being nicknamed as turtle nowadays due to the large cushion shaped stainless steel case that resembles the shape of turtle. The size has 44mm wide, 47mm height, and 13mm thick.

The lug width measures 22mm. The screwed-down crown is located at 4:00 and recessed in the case when fully locked.

One of the strength of SEIKO 6306 over 6105 is the presence of the Screwed-down feature, which offers greater water resistance. SEIKO 6306 SCUBAPRO 450 was specially produced during the era of 6306 as a part of collaboration with the SCUBA PRO Dive Equipment Company. Both are sharing the same 6306 movement.

The cooperation between a watch company with the diving company seem quite popular in 1970s as those were the era whereby many watch brands including both Japan and Swiss counterparts has done a lot of research in order to produce the diving timepieces that has passed the requirements to be eligible to become good and robust'Diver' tool watch. Due to this, there were many good looking and unique diver watches were produced during this era. SEIKO itself has already produced various diving watches during this time and these vintage timepieces were so famous and has been hunt by SEIKO collectors nowadays.

The production was not in the continuous year as of normal 6306, however two of the year was in 1978 and 1979. SEIKO 6306 had very short production time hence it was difficult to find those pieces in good and genuine condition. BUT, 6306 SCUBA PRO edition was even much more difficult as they were very limited in production and considered as limited edition pieces. This watch is highly sought by SEIKO collectors nowadays and extremely rare, especially in good and 100% genuine condition. SEIKO SCUBAPRO 450 was the special edition version of SEIKO 6306, which was produced only in very small quantities and only in certain year, hence becomes great demand for collectors.

It is a pre-owned watch but it comes in quite good shape condition. There is no such thing as a perfect for over 40 years pre-owned watch since the watch may have high usage in the past.

The most important part is the authentic Scuba Pro 450 dial, which was very unique among any other SEIKO turtles. The round luminous markers have formed a very nice patina, which match the concept of vintage watch. The strong built case still maintains the sharpness of original polishing.

Inside is the venerable SEIKO 6306 caliber that famous to be durable and stable. It is totally a rare vintage tool watch in fantastic condition. Genuine SEIKO SCUBAPRO 450 Black Matte Dial is in very good condition and remains untouched (NO Re-Dial, Re-Condition, or Re-Lume). Luminous dot does not glow, however they have very natural patina aging, which is in beautiful state. The orangey color "Water Resist" word is still preserve well, crisp, and not faded.

Hand Sets are in very condition and remain untouched (NO Re-condition or Re-lume). The luminous on them are preserved very well and clean as well. Both Bezel and Insert are original SEIKO.

Black Matte Bezel Insert is in pretty good state with no deep scratches. Some hairlines are due to usage in the past. Bezel condition is good and able to rotate in bidirectional direction smoothly. The silver anodized paint numbers are still very clear and crisp despite the age.

The anodized effect is only available on genuine SEIKO bezel insert. Please refer carefully to pictures attached. Original SEIKO 6306 Automatic and Hack-able Caliber, running smooth & in Good Condition.

It is still durable for such over 40 years old watch. Overall the condition of the movement is quite clean. Note: Back case gasket has already replaced with new one.

The bold cushion case is made from Stainless steel with No rust found on the case and case back. Case condition is quite good with some scratches on the overall watch body, which is normal due to usage in the past. Note that we never did polishing on the whole watch case in order to keep the original condition of the watch and at the same time to preserve the vintage look of it. Original SEIKO 6306 Hardlex Crystal with some hairlines scratches, however there is no chip on crystal.

The crystal is preserved pretty good for such over 40 years old watch. Screw Down crown is able to screw in and lock to the case perfectly and wind very smoothly. It is in good working condition. Original SEIKO 6306 GL831 rubber diver strap with buckle. The condition of the strap is old however the condition is still quite good.

Though it is not the original strap that comes with SEIKO SCUBAPRO, however it is extremely rare piece of strap as most of the Seiko 6306 strap from 1970s has totally worn out and changed with new SEIKO diver strap. It is a perfect combination for SEIKO Collectors. Time, Bi-lingual Day Display (Japan Kanji & English), and Date. It is an automatic movement with quick-set feature and hand wind-able. Condition is very good and running perfectly.

Original SEIKO 6306 Box (Old Stock). This box is the genuine SEIKO 6306 Series Diver Box and very rare found in good condition. (Note: it is NOT genuine SEIKO SCUBAPRO Box).
